C2 Photo Concepts: Wedding at Bass Lake, NC (Part 2): Jessi and David

What a beautiful day for a spring wedding! Jessi and David were married on April 17th at Bass Lake Park & Retreat Center , in Holly Springs, NC. Although I have lived in the area for years, I had never been to this park before their engagement session, WOW, it is a gorgeous setting for an outdoor wedding!

I had met Jessi and David there a couple weeks before their wedding for an engagement session , and it was so great to get to know them a little better before the wedding. As I said in their engagement blog, they are a couple that grew from friendship into love, that creates a true and special bond!

The wedding day started out at Jessi's mother's home, which was the beautiful venue for Jessi's Bridal Portraits earlier in the month of April. What a beautiful home and such a wonderful family. It was pure chaos at the home, but in such a great way. It felt good to see and feel the excitement humming through the house.

We headed over to Bass Lake for the ceremony and reception. Definitely one of my top 5 favorites in the Raleigh/Cary area for an outdoor wedding. The ceremony site has an overhang that allows for rainy weather and the reception area is enclosed, but has large french doors on all sides to make it feel outdoors.

Gorgeous flower arrangements all made by the mother of the bride... isn't that perfect for a spring wedding... I love sunflowers!
