Flashback to June 8th, 2011!
On June 8th, I headed to my regular weekly check up at 37 weeks and the doctor very politely said, "Due to your blood pressure reading, if you don't mind, if you could head over to the hospital to be monitored for a couple hours to see if your blood pressure levels off."
So I called my hubby and my parents and said that they just wanted to monitor me for a little bit. I was still in dreamland and thought that all would be just fine and I would be home in a couple hours and maybe I will just have to rest more. A few hours later, my doctor came in and said "Well, were having a baby".
My very stubborn blood pressure just wouldn't go down, so at 37 weeks, my sweet Griffin was to be born. I was very fortunate that all though I had to be induced, the experience was wonderful and all of the doctors, nurses, staff at Rex Hospital were fantastic. By 4:29pm on June 9th, our baby boy was born. 5lbs, 2 ounces and 19inches.
I am still in awe of this miracle that my husband and I created and we are so excited to finally be able to hold and cuddle our baby.
I have finally gotten back on line to post the photos that I have taken over the past 9 weeks.
I had all of these photography plans for when our baby boy was born and as a photographer, I was so ready to get to work on his newborn photo shoots. Little did I know until we came home with him that the need for sleep was totally out weighing the need to get the perfect newborn shots of my sweet guy. So, I got lots of wonderful pics and cherish all of them, even if I didn't quite get to all of the ideas on the newborn photo bucket list.
