Another beautiful Duke Gardens Portrait Session!

Well, it was another beautiful July day at Duke Gardens. I had the pleasure of photographing this sweetie pie with beautiful eyes and sweet curls. She was a delight to photograph and it was also a very nice surprise that her parents live only a few houses down from us. I knew they were neighbors, but didn't realize they were really close neighbors!

The two images above, I was trying my hand at a bit of "hand painting" in CS4... Photographers: Make a copy of the background (the original image); Convert the copy(top layer) to black and white; Use the Eraser tool on the top layer that was converted to black and white to "add" color back to the parts of the image you want to add color. You can change the opacity of the eraser brush... I used no more than 20% opacity on this image.
