Fun in the direct sun!

Well, this is my first attempt at photographing towards the sun and using in-direct sun with no "fill-flash". Thanks to my friend, Deb, whom said that I just had to check out a fab Vancouver photographer's blog (http://www.jamiedelaineblog.com/), I have been inspired to try and turn off my external flash addiction and work with the manual settings in the camera. My patient and beautiful friend Tracy was yet again my test model... she is such a sport! ;-) I am still perfecting and did have some post-processing on this photo. I added some sharpening and contrast to her eyes and ran the image through Noise Ninja.
