I love, love, love the mountains!!! The cool breeze, fresh air, sunshine sprinkling through the leaves, smell of the firepit! My brother, nieces, my nieces godfather and I headed up to the NC mountains last Wednesday for a couple nights of fun, fun, fun!
We started out the adventure unpacking the car and piling it into the cabin at Linville Falls Campground. As soon as we open the door, we realize it is a well kept, clean, but very tiny cabin. So, by the end of the night we were stuffing pillows under the sink, removing furniture, shoving things under the bed... even tiny, it was great and had a wonderful deck out back to soak in the beautiful woods!
After our bellies were full the first night from our fire-pit dinner, we took a walk around the campgrounds and picked some of the most delicious plums on the campground owners garden.
What a wonderful couple of days! We hiked in Linville Falls, gem mined in Emerald Village, burned hot dogs and s'mores in the fire-pit, walked around Boone.... and even ate in a double decker Wendy's in Boone.
When you have a chance to take a few days, head up to the NC mountains... you won't regret it!
